This policy explains how www.mbticalc.com handles browser storage, website requests, analytics, cookies and advertising.

1. Local-only calculation

The preference comparison runs inside your browser. When you choose two personality types and click Compare preferences, the four preference situations are generated on your device.

We do not require you to create an account, submit your name, email address, birth date, phone number, or other personally identifiable information in order to use the calculator.

Game progress on this device

Save the Group Chat (formerly The Last-Minute Plan) saves fictional game progress, viewed hints, and your game language in your browser’s local storage so you can continue later on the same browser. It does not save a personal profile or send your game choices to a game server. The game’s clear-progress control clears the current version’s progress and hint history; your browser’s site-data settings can also clear retained older versions. The game remains playable if storage is unavailable.

Interactive tools and optional device saving

The preference check, Seat the Squad, and boundary practice can use this browser's session storage to offer progress recovery. Conversation Starter, the personal guide card, and Pick a Side keep unsaved work in memory; choosing Save on this device allows that feature to keep its validated draft in local storage. Drafts may contain your edited words or card name and note. Group activity saves contain only setup and aggregate counts, not participants' names or individual votes. Clear this feature removes only that feature's saved entries. Storage errors do not require you to submit your work to a server, and browser settings determine how long session or local data is retained.

Feature language preference is stored separately. Comparison and widget links contain only public configuration such as selected type codes, question ID, language, or theme; they do not include your private answers, edited text, nickname, notes, or group counts. Text is copied only after you request it, and guide PNGs are generated on your device without an upload or automatic message. The embedded question card does not read or write browser storage or cookies, load analytics, or send its visitor's choices back to us.

The new interactive feature pages do not load their own third-party analytics script. Their optional analytics adapter is disabled without explicit consent; if enabled on the production site, it excludes answers, result types, free text, names, counts, and full URLs. Test-environment interactions are not forwarded to production analytics. Normal page and resource requests still reach the hosting service, and the website host or CDN may keep ordinary access logs. An external site embedding the card has its own privacy practices.

2. Information we do not collect

MBTI Calc does not collect or store your selected MBTI types as personal profiles.

We do not sell personal information. We do not ask for sensitive personal data. We do not use calculator results to identify you personally.

3. Analytics

We may use Google Analytics 4 or similar analytics tools to understand aggregate traffic patterns, such as page views, device type, country-level traffic, referral sources, and general user interaction with the site.

Analytics data is used to improve the website, fix usability issues, and understand which pages are useful to visitors.

4. Cookies

The calculator itself does not require persistent cookies to function.

However, third-party services such as Google Analytics or Google AdSense may use cookies or similar technologies for analytics, ad delivery, ad measurement, fraud prevention, and related purposes.

5. Advertising

This site may display ads served by Google AdSense or other advertising partners.

Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads, measure ad performance, prevent fraud, avoid showing the same ad repeatedly, and personalize ads depending on your settings.

MBTI Calc may contain links to external websites, including PatternFold, Google services, or other third-party pages.

7. Children’s privacy

MBTI Calc is intended for general informational and entertainment use. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can review and remove it if necessary.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we update it, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
